Listen to this article

(SUMY, UKRAINE) – Border guards from the “DESTRUCTION TEAM” unit have successfully conducted targeted operations against Russian forces in the Northern Slobozhanskyi direction. The personnel, belonging to the rapid response border commandant’s office of the 5th Border Detachment, remain engaged in combat missions to secure the sovereign borders of Ukraine.

During the engagement, Ukrainian forces utilised coordinated tactical manoeuvres to disable key Russian technical assets. The operation resulted in the destruction of several communication antennae, effectively severing the Russian military’s ability to coordinate unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) operations in the sector. Furthermore, the unit identified and preemptively destroyed Russian FPV drones, specifically the “Zhdun” type, before they could be deployed against Ukrainian positions.

In addition to the technical neutralisation of enemy assets, the border guards successfully struck a Russian shelter, degrading the defensive infrastructure of the invading forces. The “DESTRUCTION TEAM” maintains a operational focus on achieving full victory through the systematic degradation of Russian capabilities.

The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine serves as an integral component of the Defence Forces of Ukraine, maintaining the integrity of the state boundary. The 5th Border Detachment has issued a public call for new recruits to join their ranks, highlighting the military profession as a symbol of prestige, stability, and national responsibility. Prospective candidates are encouraged to apply through the official service portal to assist in the defence and ultimate liberation of Ukrainian territory.

The footage of these successful engagements was released by the Press Service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (DPSU), depicting operations within the Sumy Oblast, North-Slobozhanskyi direction.
