(SOUTHERN UKRAINE) – Ukrainian border guard units have destroyed a Russian drone launch position during precision strikes in southern Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service said on 23 April.
According to the agency, fighters from the Mohyliv Podilskyi Border Guard Detachment carried out targeted strikes on Russian positions. Coordinated action by unmanned aerial vehicle operators enabled Ukrainian forces to locate and destroy a launch site used for FPV drones operated by Russian troops.
The strikes also caused casualties among Russian personnel, although the number of losses is still being assessed, officials said.
The State Border Guard Service said it continues to play a key role in defending Ukraine’s state border as part of the country’s Defence Forces.
The agency also issued a recruitment appeal, inviting volunteers to join the Mohyliv Podilskyi Border Guard Detachment and contribute to ongoing operations aimed at repelling Russian forces and advancing Ukraine’s military objectives.
