(POKROVSK, DONETSK OBLAST) – Ukrainian military intelligence units have deployed a ground based robotic combat system to support frontline operations in eastern Ukraine, according to newly released footage.
The Defence Intelligence of Ukraine published exclusive video from the Pokrovsk direction, showing special forces from its operational “Iron Group” using a robotic complex known as “Liut” during a combat mission in Donetsk Oblast.
The system, equipped with a combat module, was positioned on a forward line and used to monitor a designated sector while delivering fire against Russian occupying forces. Officials said the platform enabled Ukrainian troops to manoeuvre more safely and improve their tactical position under fire.
The footage indicates the growing use of unmanned ground systems in what Ukrainian officials describe as an asymmetric war against Russia’s invading forces.
Ukrainian Military observers say such platforms are increasingly important for reducing risks to personnel while maintaining pressure on enemy positions.
Fighting in the Pokrovsk sector remains intense as Ukrainian forces continue efforts to stabilise the front and degrade Russian capabilities in the region.
