(KOSTIANTYNIVKA, DONETSK OBLAST) – A city in eastern Ukraine is being steadily reduced to ruins under sustained Russian bombardment, Ukrainian border guards said on Monday, as fresh footage documented further strikes on civilian areas.

Kostiantynivka, once a functioning industrial centre, is now described by officials as a near ghost town, with Russian forces continuing to target it with artillery, multiple launch rocket systems, and heavy aerial bombs.

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, pilots from its Phoenix unit recorded another attack involving heavy aerial bombs. Several powerful explosions struck the city almost simultaneously, sending shockwaves across the area.

Officials said the repeated use of guided and unguided bombs, including KAB and FAB types, has caused extensive destruction, effectively wiping out large sections of the city.

Ukrainian border guards said they are systematically documenting what they describe as war crimes committed by Russian forces, with the aim of ensuring accountability in future legal proceedings.

The footage of the latest strike was released by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, and confirms continued attacks on Kostiantynivka in Donetsk Oblast.
