(KYIV) – Ukrainian border guard units destroyed 133 Russian drones over the past 24 hours across multiple regions, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said on 2 May.
Fire groups operating in Sumy, Kharkiv, Chernihiv regions and along the southern axis carried out coordinated interceptions, targeting a wide range of unmanned aerial systems.
In Sumy region, personnel from the 5th Border Guard Detachment destroyed three Gerbera drones, three Zala drones, one Molniya drone and 20 FPV drones. Of the FPV systems, 15 were controlled via fibre optic links.
Fighters from the Steel Border Brigade reported the destruction of six Shahed drones, one Gerbera drone, one Supercam drone, four Molniya drones and 48 FPV drones.
In Kharkiv region, a mobile fire group from the 4th Border Guard Detachment neutralised ten Molniya drones, one Italmas drone and three FPV drones.
In Chernihiv region, units of the 105th Border Guard Detachment destroyed one Lancet drone and one Molniya drone.
On the southern axis, Ukrainian border guards destroyed 17 Gerbera drones, eight Molniya drones, three Shahed drones, one Zala drone and one Supercam drone.
The State Border Guard Service carries out tasks to defend Ukraineās borders and remains an integral part of the countryās Defence Forces.
