(ODESA OBLAST) – Ukrainian border guard units shot down ten Russian drones during a night time air attack in the south, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine said on Tuesday.
According to the agency, interceptor teams from border guard units engaged incoming loitering munitions and destroyed ten targets during the напад.
Seven Shahed 136 and Shahed 131 type drones were downed by personnel from the Izmail detachment, while two more were destroyed by the Odesa detachment. One additional Gerbera drone was also intercepted and destroyed, the statement said.
The State Border Guard Service is an integral part of Ukraine’s defence forces, carrying out daily tasks to protect the state border and national airspace.
The footage was released by the Press Service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and shows the interception of Russian drones over Odesa oblast.
