(JUBA CITY) – Bargain Bazaar South Sudan has announced the return of its popular Market Day event, scheduled for 4th October 2025 at Orange Corners Hub in Thongpiny, near Blue Nile School and the MTN Data Centre.
The organisers say the event will provide a platform for shoppers, entrepreneurs and local creators to connect in an open marketplace setting. Entry will be free, allowing visitors from across Juba and surrounding areas to attend without cost barriers.
The Market Day has has grown into a regular feature of Juba’s small business and creative economy since 2023 and is expected to draw a wide range of stalls showcasing locally produced goods and services. It also offers an opportunity for entrepreneurs to test their products, expand networks and attract new customers.
According to organisers, Bargain Bazaar aims to create a friendly, inclusive atmosphere where families and individuals can shop, interact and enjoy a day of community celebration. The initiative is also expected to showcase South Sudan’s emerging retail and creative industries, which continue to expand despite broader economic challenges.
Small business owners in Juba say such events have become vital in supporting entrepreneurship. By reducing barriers to market entry, platforms like Bargain Bazaar give startups a chance to reach customers directly and showcase their innovations.
In a city where access to affordable goods remains a concern, the concept of market days also promotes affordability. Vendors compete on price and quality, giving consumers more choice while supporting the growth of local businesses.
The upcoming edition will build on the success of previous market days in 2023 and 2024, which drew hundreds of participants. Organisers from Bargain Bazaar are confident that the October event will replicate the vibrant energy seen in earlier gatherings, with music, stalls and creative displays adding to the festive atmosphere.
