(KOSTIANTYNIVKA, DONETSK OBLAST) – Ukrainian border guard units reported continued drone operations against Russian forces in the area around Kostiantynivka in eastern Ukraine, where enemy personnel had entered Ukrainian territory.
According to the State Border Guard Service press office, operators from a border unit deployed unmanned aerial systems to identify and engage hostile targets on the ground.
In one recorded incident, a Russian serviceman attempted to fend off an approaching drone using a stick. The effort failed to stop the strike.
Operators from the Phoenix border unit carried out a precise attack, eliminating the target. Ukrainian officials said the engagement demonstrated the effectiveness of trained drone crews and their operational experience.
The border service stated that all hostile forces entering Ukrainian territory would be met with force. Drone operations in the sector remain ongoing as part of wider defensive efforts.
