(JUBA) – South Sudanese music star Mapia One Dictionary has announced the postponement of his highly anticipated concert that was set to take place on 10 October 2025 at Juba National Stadium. The change comes after confirmation that the venue will host the South Sudan versus Senegal football match on the same day.
In a statement released to fans and media, Mapia One Dictionary expressed regret over the decision, explaining that his management had no choice but to postpone to avoid the scheduling clash. “
My management team and I will meet to decide on a new date, which will be communicated soon. We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused to our fans, partners, and sponsors,” the artist said.
The new date for the concert has not yet been confirmed, but the artist’s team has promised timely updates. Supporters have been encouraged to remain patient as arrangements are finalised.
Mapia One Dictionary also thanked his fans and partners for their continued support, describing them as an essential part of his journey. He noted that their understanding during this postponement would ensure that the eventual event will be even more memorable.
The concert, once rescheduled, is expected to attract thousands of fans. Industry promoters are indicating it could become one of the largest live music events to be staged in Juba this year.
The Juba National Stadium has increasingly become a centre for both sporting and entertainment activities, reflecting its role as one of the few venues capable of hosting large scale gatherings. Balancing demand for sports fixtures and concerts at the stadium has sometimes led to scheduling challenges, as witnessed in this case.
Mapia One Dictionary, who enjoys a wide fan base across South Sudan, has been building momentum ahead of this concert with new music releases and collaborations. His concerts are known for drawing diverse audiences, from youth to older fans, and for showcasing the country’s cultural richness.
