(JUBA COUNTY) – Kush Bank PLC has introduced the Kush Salary Account, a financial product designed for individuals with regular income in South Sudan. The account combines the flexibility of a current account with the savings benefits of a deposit account, offering customers a practical way to manage day to day financial needs while building long term savings discipline.
According to Kush Bank, the Salary Account enables account holders to pay utility bills such as electricity, purchase shopping items, and carry out other financial transactions digitally. The account can be opened in either South Sudanese Pounds (SSP) or US Dollars, offering convenience to employees working in both local and foreign currency environments.
Kush Bank explained that the Salary Account is not tied to any employer, meaning customers do not need to open a new account when changing jobs. Holders can continue receiving salaries and managing their finances seamlessly with the same account. In addition, customers are able to build credit history and potentially earn interest on their minimum balance.
Key features include free digital access for account management, debit cards, cheque books, bill payment options through mobile integration, and monthly statements. The account requires a minimum opening balance, which the bank indicated is designed to encourage responsible saving and account activity.
