(JUBA) – The South Sudan National Bureau of Standards (SSNBS) has officially opened applications for the National ARSO Essay Competition 2025/2026, inviting higher education students across the country to participate. The contest offers a platform for students to explore the role of harmonised standards in facilitating trade and promoting economic growth.
The 2025/2026 edition of the competition focuses on the theme: “The role of harmonised standards in reducing Technical Barriers to Trade and in promoting fair and just trade within the Intra-African and Global Trade.”
The competition is designed to allow students and young professionals to share new ideas on continental trade integration, Africa’s economic transformation, and global competitiveness. Successful participants will have the opportunity to represent South Sudan at regional and continental levels, bringing local perspectives to Africa-wide discussions.
SSNBS encourages applicants to submit essays that address:
