(KYIV) – Ukrainian drone operators from the Aquila unmanned aerial unit of the Steel Border Brigade have destroyed Russian military infrastructure and equipment along the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions, according to Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service.

The Aquila drone teams operate within the brigade as part of Ukraine’s Defence Forces and continue to conduct strikes against Russian occupying forces along the border front.

According to the State Border Guard Service press office, the drone operators carried out attacks on Russian positions during operations conducted the previous day.

The strikes targeted both field positions and equipment used by Russian troops operating in the area.

Ukrainian border guards reported that the operations destroyed at least eight Russian field shelters used by occupying troops.

Drone crews also struck a field fuel and lubricant storage depot used by Russian forces to support operations near the frontline.

In addition, Ukrainian operators destroyed a Russian transport vehicle and a communications antenna used by occupying forces.

Officials say the strikes are aimed at weakening Russian battlefield logistics and disrupting the ability of Russian units to maintain their positions along the Northern Slobozhanshchyna and Kursk directions.
