(KYIV) – Ukrainian border guard drone operators have struck 13 Russian military vehicles on the Southern Slobozhanshchyna front, disrupting logistics used by Russian occupying forces attempting to hold their positions, according to Ukraine’s State Border Guard Service.

Russian troops in the area have been attempting to maintain their defensive positions while actively using transport vehicles to move ammunition, personnel and equipment to forward positions.

The State Border Guard Service said the activity was detected by operators from the STRIX drone strike unit of the 4th Border Guard Detachment, which operates as part of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.

Drone crews tracked Russian movements and carried out a series of strikes against vehicles used by the occupying forces.

According to the border service press office, the strikes damaged or destroyed 13 Russian transport vehicles involved in moving supplies and troops.

Officials say such losses have a direct impact on Russian battlefield logistics. The destruction of vehicles disrupts the movement of ammunition and reserves while also limiting the ability of Russian forces to manoeuvre in the area.

Ukrainian officials say continued drone operations along the Southern Slobozhanshchyna direction are aimed at weakening the supply chain supporting Russian positions and complicating attempts by Russian units to maintain their presence on the frontline.
