(SOUTHERN SLOBOZHANSKYI DIRECTION, UKRAINE) – Ukrainian border guard drone units carried out a series of strikes on Russian positions and equipment, killing five Russian soldiers and damaging multiple assets, according to official statements released on 19 March.
Operators of unmanned aerial systems from the rapid response border command of the 4th Border Detachment conducted the operation as part of Ukraine’s Defence Forces.
Ukrainian aerial reconnaissance teams and FPV drone pilots were reported to have effectively carried out combat tasks in the area, targeting enemy positions and infrastructure.
According to the statement, Ukrainian forces struck a Russian mortar position and destroyed a motorcycle, a communications antenna and two vehicles. Five Russian servicemen were also killed during the operation.
Officials said coordinated actions by drone crews continue to degrade Russian combat capability by disrupting logistics and reducing operational effectiveness in key sectors.
Footage released by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine showed drone strikes on the identified targets, including equipment and positions used by Russian forces.
