(KHARKIV REGION, UKRAINE) – Ukrainian border guard drone operators are continuing combat operations in the Northern Slobozhanskyi sector of Kharkiv region, with officials emphasising that effective strikes begin well before take off.

According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, successful engagement of Russian targets depends on a structured preparation process carried out on the ground. This includes detailed diagnostics of onboard systems, checks of payload functionality, calibration of sensors, and configuration and testing of communication channels.

Operators also conduct a comprehensive assessment of the operational environment before each mission. Officials said this systematic approach allows drone crews to operate with precision and consistency.

The UAV operators of the “Tsytadel” group within the “Mukachevo” combat unit follow a principle of no improvisation during missions. Each decision is planned in advance and each action is rehearsed.

The State Border Guard Service said disciplined preparation on the ground directly contributes to operational effectiveness in the air.

Combat operations by the unit continue in the Northern Slobozhanskyi direction, where Ukrainian forces maintain pressure on Russian positions.

Footage released by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine shows pre flight preparation procedures and drone operations carried out by the unit.
