(KURSK DIRECTION AND NORTHERN SLOBOZHANSKYI SECTOR) – Ukrainian border guards from the “Steel Border” brigade, operating as part of the Defence Forces, continue operations against Russian forces along the Kursk and Pivnichno Slobozhanskyi axes, according to a statement released on 19 March 2026. Footage released by the press service of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine shows strikes on enemy equipment and positions.

Ukrainian forces reported sustained efforts to reduce Russian manpower and engineering infrastructure in the area through systematic targeting.

Over the past day, Ukrainian operators destroyed three Russian vehicles, three field shelters, five communication antennas and one quad bike. In addition, drone pilots struck a Russian “Murom P” observation system.

Officials said that the destruction of transport, communication equipment and surveillance systems limits the Russian military’s ability to coordinate units, monitor the battlefield and maintain operational effectiveness.

The operations form part of ongoing Ukrainian efforts to degrade Russian capabilities and maintain pressure along active sectors of the front.
