(KYIV) – A Ukrainian drone unit has released a satirical wartime song and video criticising the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, China’s role in the conflict, and political figures overseas. The production was published on 27 February 2026 by the 414th Separate Brigade, known as “Ptakhy Madyara” or “Birds of Madyar”.
The video, titled “Shobla Tyzhnia. Episode 32”, features combat footage filmed by pilots of the 414th Brigade and is set to a folk based track called “Ptashyni Kolomyiky”. The lyrics were written by The Bloger UA, a member of the brigade. The music draws on traditional Ukrainian melodies.
The song opens with imagery of wild geese flying across the world and expresses surprise at Russian forces preparing for war. It mocks what it describes as an ill prepared Russian army and suggests Russian troops will soon face direct confrontation.
Later verses refer to Putin travelling to China to request weapons. In the lyrics, Chinese counterparts are portrayed as willing to assist only in exchange for territory in Siberia. The song questions how Russia continues to recruit troops, including references to Buryat fighters, and raises doubts about the sustainability of Moscow’s war effort.
The track also refers to a political ally “across the ocean” who claims to hold strong negotiating cards but is described as being influenced by financial interests. The lyrics allude to associations with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein and suggest that Ukraine is being treated as a bargaining tool in foreign negotiations.
Another verse states that it is troubling for the world when two powerful leaders attempt to decide Ukraine’s fate without Kyiv’s consent. Ukraine is depicted as standing between the Russian bear and the American eagle, with Europe described as providing dependable support.
The video further shows Ukrainian forces training and suggests that NATO generals are learning from Ukraine’s battlefield experience. The lyrics argue that older military standards are no longer sufficient and emphasise the need to adapt.
In its closing lines, the song declares that truth and international support are on Ukraine’s side and expresses confidence in victory and independence.
The 414th Brigade has frequently used social media to publish combat footage and morale boosting material. The latest release combines frontline imagery with political satire, in what the drone unit said is the use of cultural expression as part of Ukraine’s broader information campaign during the war.
