(CAPE TOWN) – Canadian mining company B2Gold has announced its 2025 gold production guidance at 970,000 to 1,075,000 ounces, with the majority coming from its African operations in Mali and Namibia. The company is advancing these projects to strengthen its position in Africa’s gold market and to unlock further value.

B2Gold will present its African projects at African Mining Week (AMW) 2025, taking place from 1–3 October in Cape Town. John Roos, Country Manager of B2Gold Namibia, is scheduled to participate in the “Africa’s Gold Economy: Value, Processing and Global Market Positioning” panel, providing updates on production plans and regional market opportunities. The conference also serves as a hub for investors to connect with African gold projects.

In Namibia, the Otjikoto Mine is forecast to produce 185,000 to 205,000 ounces in 2025. B2Gold has approved the development of the Antelope underground deposit at Otjikoto Mine, which will extend the mine’s operational life and increase annual output. The company plans to invest at least $105 million (approx. 746 million SSP) during 2026–2027 to produce an additional 110,000 ounces annually.

In Mali, the Fekola Complex is expected to yield 515,000 to 550,000 ounces. B2Gold is seeking an exploration permit for the Fekola Regional deposits by the end of September 2025, with production scheduled to start in early 2026. This project is projected to add roughly 180,000 ounces per year over its first five years. The Fekola underground facility, licensed by the Malian government in July 2025, is already operational.

At AMW 2025, Roos will join industry leaders including the Chamber of Mines of Mali, South Africa’s Rand Refinery, Araina Resources, Ghana’s Typhoon, and Goldfields to discuss Africa’s gold market, challenges and investment opportunities.

B2Gold’s 2025 African production summary (ounces):

Country Mine 2025 Production Forecast (oz) Future Expansion
