(AWEIL) – The Women Union of Northern Bahr-el-Ghazal State has appointed interim chairpersons for five counties to oversee operations and prepare for upcoming elections. The appointments are effective from 11 August 2025 until 31 October 2025.
The decision follows the amended Women Union constitution of February 2025 and was made by the State Executive Chairperson after consultations with relevant stakeholders. The interim chairpersons are expected to manage daily operations, represent the union in official county engagements, and ensure adherence to union policies and guidelines. They will also facilitate a smooth transition at the conclusion of their term.
The interim chairpersons appointed for the respective counties are:
