(JUBA) – The Bank of South Sudan (BoSS) has launched a three day training programme aimed at preparing its branch staff to use an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, a key step in the Bank’s broader digital transformation plan. The training held in Juba from 17 July 2025 brought together staff from BoSS branches in Wau, Yei, Nimule, Aweil and Rumbek.
The ERP training is designed to enhance operational capacity at the branch level by equipping participants with technical knowledge and skills in the use of the Bank’s digital systems. The ERP platform, which manages key areas such as procurement, finance and human resources, is expected to streamline internal operations and improve efficiency across all BoSS offices.
Led by Mr. Tanmay Kulshrestha, SAP Project Manager, the sessions focused on how ERP can strengthen procurement processes, ensure higher data accuracy, and support evidence based decision making across the institution. The training also aimed to ensure that regional offices are fully prepared for the ERP rollout and can independently manage operations under the new system.
The initiative reflects BoSS’s ongoing efforts to modernise its internal systems, improve service delivery, and support institutional reforms in line with global banking practices.
The BoSS leadership has reiterated its commitment to ensuring that digital infrastructure becomes an integral part of how it delivers on its mandate, especially as the country continues to rebuild its economy and public institutions.
The Bank hopes to promote greater operational consistency and data transparency throughout South Sudan’s financial governance framework by decentralising technical capacity through regional training.
