The Governor of Lakes State, Rin Tueny Mabor, has officially promoted Cuei-adukan and Abien-ajok Bomas to the status of Payams in Rumbek Central County.
This decision was made through a gubernatorial decree, resulting in Rumbek Central County now having a total of 7 Payams.
Sultan Lueth Marial Buoc, the Executive Chief of Monytiek Section in Rumbek Central County, expressed his gratitude towards Governor Rin Tueny for the promotion of Abien-ajok and Cuei-adukan as new administrative Payams. He emphasized that the communities residing in Abien-ajok are diverse and the promotion to Payam status will unite them for peaceful coexistence.
With the addition of these two new Payams, the total number of Payams in Rumbek Central County has increased from 5 to 7, marking a significant development in the region. The Paramount Chief of Rumbek Central County, Sultan Sebit Kuac Manyiel, highlighted the upcoming development plans for Cuei-adukan Payam, including land surveys and plot allocation for construction purposes.
The youth representative in Cuei-adukan Payam, Madit Mawet Aramweer, expressed the community’s appreciation for the Governor’s decision to promote Cuei-adukan and Abien-ajok. He also stressed the importance of unity and peace among the various communities in Rumbek Central County.
Mabor Paul Kodi acknowledged the need for additional Payams in Rumbek Central County, with Cuei-adukan and Abien-ajok being the areas identified for promotion. He commended the Governor and his cabinet for recognizing the importance of these new Payams for human resource development.
