(MARIUPOL, DONETSK REGION) – Ukrainian drone forces reported the destruction of a Russian Pantsir S1 air defence missile and gun system on 27 February on the outskirts of Mariupol at the Azovstal metallurgical complex.
According to a statement, the Pantsir S1 surface to air missile and anti aircraft artillery system was struck by pilots from the 413th Separate Battalion Raid of the Unmanned Systems Forces using a Ukrainian produced middle strike weapon.
The unit stated that the detection and destruction of enemy air defence components at long, medium and short range remain among the main priorities of the Unmanned Systems Forces.
Footage of the operation was published online on 27 February.
