(YIROL EAST COUNTY) – Zain South Sudan has handed over a new clean water borehole equipped with an India Mark II handpump to residents of Tingajieth Village, Yirol East County, on 3 December 2025.

For years, the community struggled with unsafe water sources and long journeys to collect water, particularly affecting women and children. The new borehole will provide safe drinking water, reduce the risk of waterborne diseases, and improve the overall quality of life for hundreds of families.

Zain said the project reflects its commitment to community development, stating that “true connectivity means improving lives.” The initiative is part of the company’s broader efforts to support rural communities through access to essential services and infrastructure.

The introduction of this borehole is expected to bring immediate relief, enhance hygiene, and contribute to healthier, stronger communities in Yirol East.
