(JUBA) – Bebeto Company has strengthened its support for South Sudanese football with a new sponsorship deal worth 22 million South Sudanese pounds (around $3,100) for the best player of the match in the Premier League. The agreement, made with the South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF), will run through the 2025-26 season, signalling the company’s ongoing investment in the development of the national sport.
The contract was signed during a formal ceremony attended by key figures including Victor Lawrence Lual, Secretary-General of SSFF, and Puok Matai Nhial, General Manager of Bebeto Coach Services Co Ltd. Lual highlighted the significance of the partnership, saying, “This sponsorship not only rewards excellence on the pitch but also supports our goal of raising the standard of South Sudanese football.”
The initiative is part of Bebeto Company’s wider effort to encourage talent and promote healthy competition among players. Thomas, Chairman of the Investment Committee, said, “By recognising outstanding performances, we aim to inspire athletes to push their limits and show their skills.”
The sponsorship comes at a critical stage for South Sudan’s Premier League, which is now in its second season. The financial backing is expected to boost the league’s visibility and professionalism, giving players a stronger platform to demonstrate their abilities.
