(TATARSTAN, RUSSIA) – A large fire broke out at the Kaleikino oil pumping station in Tatarstan following what Ukrainian sources describe as a successful drone strike. Video shared online shows extensive flames at the site, indicating significant impact.
The Kaleikino station is owned by Transneft Prikamye JSC and serves as a major hub in Russia’s oil trunk pipeline system. The facility plays a central role in pumping and distributing petroleum products across the network.
Footage suggests that at least two, and possibly three, large oil storage tanks are burning. Online sources estimate that the affected tanks together may hold more than 85,000 tonnes of petroleum products. The full extent of the damage remains unclear, including whether critical pumping equipment has been struck.
Satellite imagery and geolocation data place the strike at the main tank area of the facility. The pumping station contains 29 oil storage tanks of varying sizes. The largest tanks appear to have been hit, with sustained fires visible.
The site lies approximately 1,200 kilometres from the Ukrainian border, marking it as a deep strike against Russian energy infrastructure. It is not yet confirmed how many drones were used in the attack, though analysts suggest multiple systems were likely involved given the scale of the fire.
