(JUBA COUNTY) – The Senior Presidential Envoy on Special Programs, Hon. Adut Salva Kiir, has paid a courtesy visit to the Governor of Central Equatoria State, Lt. Gen. Rabi Mujung Emmanuel. The meeting took place in Juba on Monday, 25 August 2025.

Hon. Adut, who was recently appointed by the President as the Senior Envoy on Special Programs, held talks with the Governor on possible areas of collaboration with the leadership of Central Equatoria State.

Governor Mujung congratulated Hon. Adut on her new role, describing the appointment as an important recognition of her ability to serve the nation. He assured her of his full support and pledged that the state leadership will work closely with her office to ensure that her responsibilities are carried out effectively.

He further reaffirmed his readiness to provide guidance, cooperation and partnership in order to make her assignment successful. Officials at the meeting noted that collaboration between the Presidency and the leadership of Central Equatoria is expected to play an important role in addressing issues affecting the state and supporting national priorities.

Hon. Adut thanked the Governor for his warm welcome and encouragement. She also expressed her willingness to work together with the leadership of Central Equatoria State to promote peace, stability and development.

The visit was described by observers as an important show of unity between the Presidency and the state leadership at a time when South Sudan continues to focus on building stronger institutions and delivering services to the people.
