(Juba) – Organisers of IndabaX South Sudan 2025 have officially opened the call for exhibitors and poster presenters, inviting researchers, startups, innovators and organisations working in the field of artificial intelligence to take part in the country’s first ever IndabaX event, scheduled for 19 July 2025 at Scenius Hub in Thongpiny, Juba.

The event is part of the Deep Learning Indaba network, a growing pan African movement dedicated to advancing machine learning and artificial intelligence across the continent.

This local edition aims to create a platform where AI-related work from South Sudan and beyond can be showcased, discussed and expanded through collaboration.

The call is open to individuals and groups working on AI research, data science, and related technologies. Both early career and experienced professionals are encouraged to apply. Innovators developing AI driven tools or solutions, as well as organisations with ongoing AI projects, are also invited to exhibit their work.

Participants can choose between two exhibition options. The first is an Exhibit Booth, where startups and developers can showcase live demonstrations, prototypes, or AI-powered products.

The second is a Poster Presentation, designed for researchers who would like to display their findings in a printed poster format and engage with attendees during the event.

IndabaX organisers emphasised that the event will bring together a diverse audience, including university students, academic researchers, tech entrepreneurs, and government policymakers.

This provides a valuable opportunity for participants to gain visibility, share ideas, and spark collaborations aimed at real world impact in South Sudan and the wider region.

Speaking ahead of the event, the organising team at Scenius Hub described the conference as a step towards building a strong and inclusive AI ecosystem in South Sudan. The event seeks to promote the growth of responsible and community driven innovation by giving local voices a platform.

No fee is mentioned for participation, but interested individuals and organisations are encouraged to submit an expression of interest through the official website.

The event is scheduled to run from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on 19 July 2025. It is being supported by Scenius Hub and DRF, two organisations working to nurture tech talent and digital skills in South Sudan.
