(TALLINN) – During the “Hedgehog 2025” military exercises held in Estonia, a small contingent of approximately 10 Ukrainian drone operators effectively neutralised two NATO battalions. The exercises, which involved over 16,000 personnel from 12 member states, were designed to simulate high-intensity conflict. Using the Delta battlefield management system, the Ukrainian team mock-destroyed 17 armoured vehicles and conducted 30 successful strikes in a single afternoon.

NATO officials noted that their forces, including British and Estonian units, were significantly vulnerable due to outdated camouflage tactics and a failure to account for the total transparency of the modern, drone-saturated battlefield.

In a separate development, China has committed a new humanitarian energy aid package to Ukraine following high-level talks between Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha and his Chinese counterpart, Wang Yi, in Munich.

The agreement, valued at several million US Dollars, aims to restore infrastructure damaged by Russian strikes. This commitment from Beijing comes as the United States administration, led by Donald Trump, has faced criticism for a perceived lack of direct support during the winter energy crisis, with the White House remaining focused on a potential “peace deal” rather than immediate infrastructure aid.
