Orange Corners Opens Juba Hub to Support Young Entrepreneurs

(JUBA COUNTY) – A new business incubation programme called Orange Corners has been launched in Juba to support young South Sudanese entrepreneurs in developing their ideas into sustainable enterprises. The initiative aims to boost job creation, innovation, and economic growth by providing early stage startups with skills, mentoring, and access to finance.

The programme, supported by international partners and managed locally by Junub Open Space, is designed to nurture innovative startups led by South Sudanese youth aged between 18 and 35. Eligible participants must have a validated business concept that is no more than two years old and closely connected to South Sudan’s social or economic context.

Selected entrepreneurs will benefit from six months of business incubation, which includes structured training, one-on-one coaching, expert led masterclasses, and networking sessions. The programme seeks to address key challenges facing South Sudan’s startup ecosystem, such as limited access to capital, business development support, and mentorship opportunities.

At the end of the training cycle, the most promising startups will have the opportunity to apply for growth funding through the Orange Corners Innovation Fund. The fund aims to help young businesses scale operations, expand their market reach, and create more jobs across South Sudan’s growing private sector.

Organisers say the programme represents a major step forward in promoting entrepreneurship among the youth, especially in a country where small and medium enterprises are still emerging. Junub Open Space, the implementing partner, will handle application processes and coordinate all training activities locally.
