(JUBA) – The Minister of General Education and Instructions, Kuyok Abol Kuyok, has confirmed that the 2024 Senior Four examination results will be officially released on Wednesday, 20 August 2025. The announcement came during a briefing with Vice President Josephine Lagu Yanga in Juba on Tuesday.

Minister Kuyok was joined by his deputy, Martin Tako, and the Secretary General of the National Examination Council, Simon Nyok. During the briefing, he explained that the results had already been presented to President Salva Kiir for formal endorsement, and the President had approved their release.

“The results will be released tomorrow morning, and candidates across the country will be able to access them,” Minister Kuyok told the Vice President.

The move marks the final step in the national examination process, which is closely monitored each year by education authorities and the Presidency.

In addition to confirming the release date, the meeting discussed wider challenges in South Sudan’s education sector. Top priorities identified by the Ministry include improving teacher training, particularly in science subjects where gaps remain, and expanding opportunities for girls’ education.

Officials also highlighted the urgent need to establish more boarding secondary schools to support girls, who often face greater difficulties in completing their studies due to distance, early marriage, or household responsibilities. The government has stated that addressing these challenges is key to building a stronger education system.

Minister Kuyok praised the Vice President’s guidance, noting her experience as an educationist and her commitment to reforms in the sector.
