(VYSHNEVE, CRIMEA) – Ukrainian Special Operations Forces (SSO) successfully neutralised multiple Russian Iskander operational tactical missile systems during a precision overnight operation in temporarily occupied Crimea on Saturday. The Deep Strike units utilized long range unmanned aerial vehicles to intercept the missile launchers as Russian forces were preparing to initiate strikes against Ukrainian urban centres.
One Iskander launcher was confirmed destroyed near the village of Vyshneve. According to military reports, the vehicle had been moved from its permanent base to a launch sector and was concealed within a forest belt. The launcher was fully armed with missiles and manned by its crew at the time of the engagement. Several SSO drones struck the target directly, resulting in a significant secondary detonation of the onboard ammunition.
In a simultaneous operation, the SSO identified and targeted a storage facility for Iskander launchers in the settlement of Kurortne. The location was discovered following intelligence provided by local resistance movements within the occupied peninsula. Multiple drones successfully impacted the site, causing extensive damage to the stored equipment. The SSO has reiterated its commitment to pre-emptive strikes against ballistic threats, operating under their official motto: “Always beyond the limit.”
