(KYIV, UKRAINE) – Ukrainian forces have destroyed a Russian Iskander ballistic missile launcher and struck a storage facility containing additional missile systems during drone operations in occupied Crimea, according to video released by Ukrainian sources.

Footage published by Ukraine shows FP2 attack drones targeting the launcher near the settlement of Vyshneve in Crimea. The video records the drone strike followed by a secondary explosion, which analysts say confirms the destruction of the missile system.

The video shows the launcher positioned in a wooded area, partially concealed by trees. A follow up drone recorded the moment of detonation after the initial strike.

During the footage a small vehicle can be seen leaving the area while the launcher burns. Analysts suggest the vehicle may have been a utility transport vehicle used by the missile crew or an ambulance responding to possible casualties.

The video then shows a second operation in the settlement of Karatne, also in Crimea, where a storage site used for Iskander missile launchers was struck.

Drone footage indicates that the building had already been damaged before the recorded strike. A visible hole in the roof suggests an earlier drone impact.

Several additional drones were then directed at the same structure, striking the roof and causing fires inside the facility.

Ukrainian sources said the building was used to store equipment related to the Iskander missile system.

The structure appears open on one side in the video footage. Analysts believe protective netting or camouflage may have been installed at the entrance, which could explain why the drones targeted the roof instead.

Geolocation analysis circulating on social media platforms identified the two strike locations in central Crimea.

The first location shows the position where the launcher hidden among trees was destroyed. The second location shows the building believed to have been used for storing missile equipment.

The Iskander system is one of Russia’s primary ballistic missile weapons. It has a reported range of up to 500 kilometres and is regarded as one of the more accurate missile systems used by Russian forces.

Such missiles have been used in attacks on military and civilian targets across Ukraine, including air bases, training grounds, rail infrastructure and urban areas.

Open source intelligence groups estimate that Russia had approximately 160 Iskander launchers in service before the war, although the exact number may be higher.

Ukrainian strikes against these systems are considered strategically significant because they can reduce Russia’s ability to conduct ballistic missile attacks.

Ukraine hit an Iskander missile launcher in Crimea destroying it and also destroyed a building containing an Iskander.
