(KYIV, UKRAINE) – Ukrainian air defence forces successfully intercepted every cruise missile launched by Russia during an overnight engagement. The operation marks a significant milestone in the conflict as F16 fighter jets performed the majority of the combat transitions.
High altitude data indicated that both air launched cruise missiles, identified by red tracking lines, and sea launched cruise missiles, marked in green, were neutralized without exception.
Military analysts noted that the successful interceptions were primarily achieved using Advanced Medium Range Air to Air Missiles deployed from the newly integrated F16 fleet.
This level of total interception represents a major technical achievement for the Ukrainian military.
In a related development, the scaling of domestic drone production and specialized crew training has resulted in record breaking defensive performance. Ukrainian drone operators are now regarded as some of the most proficient globally.
A specific operator using the call sign Hulk established a new record by downing 20 Russian Shahed drones in a single day using Wild Hornet interceptors.
These interceptors are deployed via mobile laboratories housed in vans. These units consist of three or four person crews who relocate to strategic positions based on incoming threats.
The mobile units carry pallets of Wild Hornet interceptors equipped with explosive charges and sophisticated electronic monitoring equipment. These teams operate with independent power generators while waiting for Russian drones to enter their designated protection zones.
Hundreds of these mobile units are currently active across the country. This defensive strategy is now occurring multiple times every week as Ukraine continues to upscale its mobile response capabilities.
