(KHARKIV REGION, UKRAINE) – Ukrainian border guard units operating in Kharkiv region reported destroying Russian vehicles and communications equipment used to support Russian forces along the front line.
According to the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, servicemen from the Shkval rapid response commandant’s office of the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment continue carrying out combat missions as part of the Ukrainian Defence Forces.
During a recent combat operation the unit detected a location used by Russian forces where they were attempting to establish communications.
Ukrainian border guards also identified routes used by Russian units to maintain logistical supply to their positions.
Drone pilots from the unit carried out strikes that destroyed Russian communications equipment as well as vehicles used to support Russian military units.
Officials said the operation disrupted Russian communications and supply activity in the area.
The Shkval rapid response commandant’s office is staffed by servicemen with significant combat experience.
According to the border guard service, fighters from the unit previously took part in combat operations in Kyiv region, Kharkiv region, Luhansk region and Donetsk region.
The State Border Guard Service also invited volunteers to join the 7th Carpathian Border Detachment.
