The sponsorship brings together three local corporate partners: True Line Africa Limited, Larry Investment Co. Ltd, and Horizon IT Solutions. The agreement highlights how domestic companies are increasingly using sports to build brand recognition while supporting community based initiatives.

Speaking on behalf of the club, Secretary Mabe Clement said the funding would strengthen Yei Joint Stars FC’s ability to participate more effectively in regional and continental competitions. He added that the partnership would also improve the visibility of the sponsoring firms through sports marketing and community engagement.

He stressed that accountability and transparency are central to the agreement, noting that all sponsorship funds will be managed through the formal banking system. This approach reflects a broader push within South Sudan’s sports sector to adopt professional financial practices that align with business standards.

Representatives of the sponsoring companies said their decision to support the club was driven by a shared commitment to youth empowerment and community development. They noted that football remains one of the most effective platforms for engaging young people and strengthening social cohesion in counties such as Yei River.

The deal comes at a time when South Sudan’s private sector is gradually expanding beyond Juba, with firms seeking opportunities to invest in regional markets. Sports sponsorship is emerging as one of the practical ways for businesses to connect with local communities while contributing to social and economic activity.

For Yei Joint Stars FC, the agreement provides predictable seasonal income, which is considered essential for planning team operations, travel, and talent development. For the sponsors, it offers sustained exposure and association with positive social impact, reinforcing the growing link between business investment and community focused growth in South Sudan.
