(JUBA) – The leadership of the Bank of South Sudan (BoSS) called for stronger teamwork and stricter policy discipline during a high-level meeting held on Monday, 5 January 2026. Directors General and Department Directors attended the session, which focused on improving the implementation of monetary policy and internal governance.

The BoSS Governor, Hon. Yeni Samuel Costa, emphasised the importance of effective policy execution and urged staff to uphold the Bank’s core values of accountability, transparency, teamwork, professionalism, and excellence. She noted that coordinated effort among all departments is essential to strengthen monetary policy outcomes and enhance public confidence in South Sudan’s financial system.

Hon. Rita Nyankiir Akoon, Second Deputy Governor for Administration and Finance, also attended the meeting and highlighted the need for collaborative leadership and clear communication across all Bank units.

In a statement released on online portals, the Central Bank said its focus on teamwork, transparency, and policy discipline aims to enhance financial stability, support economic growth, and strengthen investor confidence in the country’s banking system.
