(JUBA) – Governor Emmanuel Adil Anthony of Central Equatoria State met with the Executive Vice President of Digitel South Sudan, De Chan Awuol, to discuss the expansion of the company’s telecommunication services across the state.
During the meeting, Mr Awuol emphasised the importance of strengthening cooperation with the state government to increase coverage and improve access to mobile and digital services. He praised the state leadership for its support in fostering partnerships with the company.
Governor Adil highlighted the role of Digitel South Sudan in reducing the digital divide in Central Equatoria. He said the government is committed to supporting the company’s efforts to expand its network operations and provide better connectivity for residents and businesses.
The discussions also focused on potential areas for investment and collaboration, including infrastructure development and service delivery in both urban and rural areas. Officials said the expansion could facilitate access to digital services, enhance business operations, and support economic growth across the state.
