Zain Expands Network Capacity Across Central Equatoria

(JUBA) – Zain South Sudan has expanded its mobile data network in Juba County and other parts of Central Equatoria State, strengthening internet capacity in areas that host a large share of the country’s business, public administration and service activity.

The company said the expansion includes additional sites delivering an enhanced data experience in several urban and residential locations. These include Suk Libya, Juba Town, Atlabara, Nyakuroun East, Pyramid, Jebel Lemon 2 and 3, Jebel Teman, Moryok, Nyaying and Jebel Amianin. The areas are among those with high population density and rising demand for mobile data services.

Zain South Sudan stated that the improved network performance is aimed at supporting faster browsing, smoother video streaming and more stable connections, particularly during peak usage periods. The upgrade comes as mobile internet use continues to grow in South Sudan, driven by increased reliance on digital communication, mobile payments, online learning and entertainment.

For businesses operating in Juba and surrounding areas, reliable internet access remains a key factor for productivity and customer engagement. Traders, service providers and small enterprises increasingly depend on mobile data to communicate with suppliers, process mobile money transactions and promote goods and services online.
