(Juba) – South Sudanese youth and music fans are preparing for a major celebration on 9 July 2025, as Big Shark Entertainment gears up to host The Ultimate Independence Celebrations at Doru Guest House in Rajaf.
The highly anticipated event is part of the national holiday marking South Sudan’s 14th Independence Day since the country’s founding in 2011.
Organisers have promised a lively “vibe experience” featuring live performances, games, PS5 tournaments, a pool table, and a colour splash show. The headline act for the night is rising star Hotkid SSD, a special guest artist expected to bring energy to the crowd.
Hosting duties will be led by Mano Brown and Mimi Amos, with Professor Ramy joining as co-host. The music lineup includes top local DJs MC Ivo and DJ Dani, who will keep guests dancing throughout the night.
Tickets are available in two tiers. Regular admission costs 50,000 SSP, which is about $10.75 USD at the official exchange rate. For those seeking a premium experience, VIP tables are going for 100,000 SSP (approx. $21.50 USD), and exclusive VIP tables with special drinks are priced at $100 USD (roughly 465,000 SSP officially or 700,000 SSP in street value).
The event is being sponsored by Gold Orchid and Slixs-Hope Organisations, with the aim of offering a fun, safe, and vibrant atmosphere for the youth and wider community. Organisers say the venue, Doru Guest House at Rajaf, was selected for its open space and accessibility for partygoers coming from across Juba and beyond.
