The Electoral Appeal Committee has announced the disqualification of Deng Teng from the upcoming South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) elections. Teng failed to meet the necessary nomination requirements, as specified by the federation’s electoral regulations.

According to the committee’s statement issued on Thursday, Teng lacked the essential support from at least four members of the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA). Furthermore, Teng was found to have insufficient experience in football administration within South Sudan.

In a similar decision, Kamala John Nyeret was also ruled ineligible for the presidential race, having been nominated by only one member, which did not meet the minimum nomination threshold.

Both candidates have been removed from the final list of contenders for the SSFF general elections scheduled for 15th August 2025. However, the committee emphasized that Teng and Nyeret have the option to file an appeal if they wish to challenge the decision.
