The South Sudan Football Federation (SSFF) is in a whirlwind of drama as Ms. Ann Nyakuet Taker, the one and only female candidate for Second Vice President, has been shown the red card and disqualified from the upcoming elections.

The SSFF Electoral Committee blew the whistle on Ms. Taker, ruling her offside due to a lack of nominations required to stay in the game.

In a press conference held at the SSFA headquarters, Electoral Appeal Committee captain, Tong Majok, spilled the beans on the controversial decision. He revealed that Ms. Taker’s opponent had scored a sneaky goal by objecting to one of her nominations, leaving her short of the minimum players needed on the field.

With two of her nominations declared offside, poor Ms. Taker was left with only three valid entries – one shy of making the cut.

Not one to take defeat lying down, it seems that Ms. Taker has filed a complaint with the SSFF Ethics Committee, hoping for a penalty shootout to turn the tide in her favour.

SSFA officials have stressed their dedication to fair play and honesty in the election process, but it seems like there might be some serious fouls happening behind the scenes. Looks like this football federation is in for a match to remember!
