(KYIV, UKRAINE) – Ukraine’s Armed Forces reported on Tuesday that 890 Russian troops were killed over the past 24 hours, alongside significant losses in drones, vehicles, and heavy equipment, according to official military data released on February 17.
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said the figures cover the period leading up to the morning of February 17, 2026. The update was reported by UNN.
According to the statement, Ukrainian forces destroyed 614 operational tactical level unmanned aerial vehicles, 71 units of automotive equipment and fuel tankers, four artillery systems, three armoured combat vehicles, and two tanks.
Military officials said the main focus of operations during the past day was the targeting of enemy drones and transport infrastructure supporting Russian units on the front lines.
The General Staff added that these losses form part of wider assessments of Russian casualties and equipment damage since the start of the full scale invasion in February 2022.
Ukrainian authorities regularly publish such updates to inform the public and international partners about developments on the battlefield. Independent verification of battlefield claims remains difficult due to ongoing fighting.
Kyiv says its forces continue to prioritise disrupting Russian logistics, reconnaissance, and firepower in order to limit the enemy’s operational capacity.
