The Kaujok Football Association has officially raised concerns over the disqualification of Ms. Ann Nyakuet Taker’s nomination, denouncing the use of what they deem as fraudulent documents in the SSFA electoral process.
On Friday, 8th August, the SSFF Electoral Committee invalidated Ann, the sole female candidate for Second Vice President, from the forthcoming 2025–2029 elections.
The decision to disqualify her came after she did not secure a crucial nomination from the Kaujok Football Association, resulting in her falling short of the required minimum nominations.
In a correspondence directed to the Electoral Committee of the South Sudan Football Association (SSFA) and signed by the association’s Secretary, Mr. Paul Mayuen, the Kaujok Football Association clarified that they had only put forth Mrs. Ann Taker’s name for the Second Vice President position.
They explicitly noted that they did not endorse her competitor, Mr. Venansio Amum, who is also vying for the same position.
In a section of the letter, it was stated: “We are writing to you today on behalf of the Kaujok Football Association to formally express our strong objection to the exclusion of our nominee, Mrs. Ann Taker, from the roster of candidates competing for the position of Second Vice President in the forthcoming South Sudan Football Federation elections.”
The Association is now demanding the immediate reinstatement of their nominee and a thorough investigation into the alleged document fraud to uphold the integrity of the electoral process.
