(KYIV, UKRAINE) – The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said on Sunday that Russian forces had lost 1,250 personnel over the past 24 hours, bringing total estimated losses since the start of the full scale invasion to more than 1.25 million.
In its daily update, the General Staff said Ukrainian troops continued to inflict significant damage on enemy units across several фронт line sectors as fighting remained intense.
According to the report, Russian losses now stand at about 1,253,000 personnel since February 2022. The figures were published by UNN and cited official military sources.
The military said Ukrainian forces also destroyed 97 units of automotive equipment, including vehicles and fuel tankers, during the past day.
In addition, 11 artillery systems and three multiple rocket launcher systems were disabled, the statement said.
Air defence units and electronic warfare systems neutralised 552 operational tactical level drones over Ukrainian territory, according to the General Staff.
Russian armoured forces were further reduced by four tanks and six armoured combat vehicles, the update added.
Statistics on aircraft, helicopters and naval vessels remained unchanged over the past day. Since the beginning of the war, Ukraine says it has destroyed 435 aircraft and 29 ships and boats.
Military officials said the data was being constantly updated because of the high intensity of hostilities in multiple areas.
The Ukrainian command said the continued losses reflected weaknesses in Russian logistics, coordination and frontline command under the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin.
Kyiv has repeatedly stressed that its estimates are based on battlefield assessments and intelligence analysis, while independent verification remains difficult.
Russia does not regularly publish comprehensive casualty figures.
Ukrainian authorities say they will continue operations aimed at liberating occupied territories and weakening Russia’s ability to sustain its war effort.
