(KYIV, UKRAINE) – Ukrainian forces recorded 187 combat engagements across the front line on 19 March, as Russian forces intensified attacks using drones, artillery and air strikes, according to the General Staff.
The Russian military carried out 62 air strikes, dropping 173 guided aerial bombs. It also deployed 5,176 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,902 shelling attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements.
In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Russian forces carried out 85 shelling attacks, including one using multiple launch rocket systems. Six air strikes were reported, involving 20 guided bombs. Two combat engagements took place in this sector.
In the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian forces launched 19 attacks near Prylipka, Lyman, Starytsia, Vovchansk, Tykhe, Bochkove, Okhrimivka, Zybyne, Chuhunivka, Fyholivka and Krasne Pershe. One engagement remained ongoing at the time of reporting.
In the Kupiansk direction, nine attacks were recorded near Petropavlivka, Pishchane, Hlushkivka, Novoplatonivka and Borivska Andriivka, with three engagements continuing.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 16 assaults near Hrekivka, Nadiia, Novomykhailivka, Novoserhiivka, Olhivka, Serednie, Korovyi Yar, Drobycheve, Zarichne, Lyman, Dibrova and Tverdokhlibove. One engagement remained ongoing.
In the Sloviansk direction, Russian forces attempted 12 advances near Zakitne, Riznykivka, Rai Oleksandrivka and Platonivka. One engagement was ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, two attacks were reported near Malynivka and Kostiantynivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, 24 assaults were recorded near Kostiantynivka, Kleban Byk, Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, Rusyn Yar, Sofiivka, Novopavlivka and Stepanivka. One engagement continued.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces carried out 27 attacks near Novyi Donbas, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Bilytske, Sukhetske, Pokrovsk, Hryshyne, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novopidhorodne and Novopavlivka. One attack remained ongoing.
Preliminary estimates indicate that 151 Russian personnel were killed and 41 wounded in this sector. Ukrainian forces destroyed two armoured vehicles and 10 vehicles, and damaged 30 shelters, a drone control point, two artillery systems and eight additional vehicles. A total of 242 drones were destroyed or suppressed.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, nine attacks were recorded near Sichneve, Sosnivka, Krasnohirka and Zlahoda. One engagement was ongoing.
In the Huliaipole direction, eight attacks were reported near Zelene, Zaliznychne, Dobropillia and Myrne, with two engagements continuing.
In the Orikhiv direction, one attack was recorded near Stepove. No assault actions were reported in the Prydniprovskyi direction.
The General Staff said there were no significant changes in other sectors.
