(KYIV) – Ukraine’s military intelligence agency said its special operations unit carried out a series of precision strikes against Russian naval and air assets in temporarily occupied Crimea during February 2026.
According to Ukraine’s Main Directorate of Intelligence, known as the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the operations were conducted by the elite special unit called “Ghosts”.
The intelligence agency reported that the unit struck several Russian military targets including patrol ships, support vessels, aviation equipment and air defence systems belonging to the Russian armed forces stationed on the occupied peninsula.
Among the targets hit were a Project 22460 patrol ship identified as “Okhotnik”, a radar station belonging to an S 400 air defence system, a Forpost unmanned aerial vehicle, a Project 1496M1 sea tug, a Project 16640 vessel, and a BK 16 Project 02510 landing craft.
The Ukrainian intelligence statement also reported the destruction of a Russian Ka 27 helicopter.
Officials said the attacks formed part of a continuing campaign to weaken Russian military capabilities in Crimea, which Russia illegally occupied in 2014.
Video released by the intelligence agency shows several precision strikes on the listed targets, though the exact locations and timing of the operations were not disclosed for security reasons.
Ukraine’s intelligence service said its forces would continue conducting combat operations against Russian military assets on the peninsula.
The agency added that the armed struggle against Russian forces continues.
