(JUBA) – Hon. Gloria Nyoka, Executive Director of the South Sudan National Bureau of Standards (SSNBS), congratulated winners and nominees at the Chamber Quality Awards 2025, recognising a decade of business excellence, resilience, and innovation in South Sudan.
Nyoka said the awards continue to highlight enterprises that maintain high standards, uphold global best practices, and contribute to national progress. She also pointed to South Sudan’s growing presence on the regional stage, noting that Urban South Group was named First Runner-Up in the East African Community Regional Quality Awards 2025 in the SME category. This achievement places South Sudan’s industry firmly on the regional map and reflects the country’s increasing competitiveness.
Preparations are now underway for the 3rd National Quality Awards, and SSNBS encourages companies and entrepreneurs across South Sudan to participate. Officials said the initiative aims to strengthen business standards, improve competitiveness, and provide access to wider markets through certification and the SSNBS Quality Mark.
