(JUBA) – MTN South Sudan has introduced a new product called the Home Starter Pack, a WiFi solution aimed at improving internet access for families and individuals across the country. The product is designed to help users carry out online activities such as browsing, video streaming and gaming from the comfort of their homes.

The MTN Home Starter Pack is being offered at 350,000 South Sudanese Pounds (SSP), which equals around $75.27 USD using the official exchange rate of 1 USD = 4,650 SSP. However, when using the more widely used parallel market rate of 1 USD = 7,000 SSP, the equivalent cost is approximately $50 USD.

Below is a breakdown of the pricing and offer:

Item Cost (SSP) Cost (USD at 4,650 SSP) Cost (USD at 7,000 SSP)
Home Starter Pack 350,000 SSP $75.27 $50.00
Included Router Free Free Free
Included Data Volume 20 GB 20 GB 20 GB

The pack includes a free router and an initial 20 gigabytes (GB) of data, making it a ready to use internet solution upon purchase.

MTN South Sudan has encouraged customers, particularly those residing in Juba, to visit any of its nearby service centres or stores to obtain the device.

As home internet demand grows in the country, this product targets everyday users who rely on digital services for communication, education, entertainment and business.

Stable internet remains limited for many South Sudanese households, particularly outside urban centres. Offering a bundled package with both hardware and data enables MTN to position itself as a key player in expanding affordable home internet across the country.
