To the Management of Achai Company,

I write with deep concern regarding the rollout and promotion of MTN MOMO services in Western Equatoria State. While MOMO and MOMO Pay present valuable opportunities for financial inclusion and convenience, many communities across the state, particularly in rural areas, have not been adequately informed about how the services work.

Currently, there are no regular radio jingles or talk shows in some parts of Western Equatoria, such as Mundri, to explain what MOMO is, its advantages, or how customers can access it. Radio remains the most reliable and accessible form of communication in our villages, yet it has not been used effectively. This has left many citizens unaware of the importance of MOMO in everyday financial transactions.

With the introduction of Mata Fekir, the need for public awareness is even more urgent. I therefore appeal to Achai Company to strengthen its community outreach by:

  • Broadcasting regular radio jingles in local languages.

  • Hosting talk shows to explain the use of MOMO and MOMO Pay.

  • Ensuring rural communities are not left behind in accessing digital financial services.

Such efforts will not only improve customer understanding but also build trust, increase usage, and help expand financial inclusion across Western Equatoria State.

I trust that Achai Company will take these concerns seriously and act in the best interest of the communities it serves.

Sincerely,
Noah Issa
